• Your cassettes audio is captured into a computer workstation with a specialised low noise sound card, the audio is checked and trimmed Enhanced where required and converted to a CD or MP3 digital audio file. Your MP3 files are encoded at the very high quality Bitrate settings. • Where there are obvious breaks between songs you have the option to have track breaks inserted. This means that if you request an audio CD it will have tracks just like on a store bought CD. If you chose the MP3 format each break will create a new MP3 file. • Audio CD’s can only hold a maximum of 80 minutes of sound which can create problems as a lot cassettes were 90+ minutes long. For a tape that’s longer than 80 mins you have the following options. 1. Audio after the 80 minute mark is not included (no charge). 2. Split the cassette onto 2 CD’s* 3. Edit the content down to 80 minutes* *Cost varies depending on complexity.

There are three types or audio cassette tapes + Sony Mini Disc we transfer. The Standard Audio Cassette. The audio cassette developed by Philips was the VHS of the audio world but as it was never had the same clarity as a record.

Minimum price of $36 is charged for Audio transfers (due to the setting up time) 1 tape (both sides) with up to “120” minutes of sound to MP3 • $26 (1 track per side of tape with audio enhancement) This is the default option • $36 (With individual tracks and audio enhancement)** 1 tape (both sides) with up to “80” minutes of sound to Audio CD • $40 (1 track per side of tape with audio enhancement) This is the default option • $50 (With individual tracks and audio enhancement)** • CD disc is included in price **14 Tracks per tape are included in price. Sony Mini Disc Walkman Sony trying to stay in front in the audio wars and produced a Walkman which used mini discs kind of like CD’s with playing time of up to was adjustable by changing the quality setting and upto 45 hours could be recorded on a 1gig disc. Mini Disc 72mm x 68mm

“Mini” and “Micro” Cassettes. These were far less common but I bet somewhere in this world there is a doctor or lawyer still using one. Mainly they were used for dictation and transcribing but also for memoirs and novel writing. We have Philips, Lanier and Sanyo cassette decks to suit the converting of these audio cassette to CD or MP3 files.
